The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc., PAACT: Promise All Atlanta Children Thrive, and the Atlanta Speech School invite you to join us for Spotlight on Literacy, a community conversation on literacy—one of the most consequential factors in young children’s academic well-being and success.

Language-rich learning environments and early literacy are scientifically proven to boost brain development during the critical first years of life. This helps children “read to learn” by third grade, which in turn helps them eventually graduate from high school, stay away from crime, and get a job, contributing to both our society and our economy.

This event will feature some of our community’s strongest voices on early literacy, including members of the Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education. They’ll share strategies that support every child’s literacy journey. You’re part of that journey, too, and that’s why we hope you’ll save the date and plan to join this important discussion.

If you are unable to attend in person but still want to hear the conversation, you can join virtually at this link: https://vimeo.com/event/4670704
