Brought to you by GEEARS and the Georgia Chamber of Commerce

GEEARS has always stressed the critical connection between family-friendly workplace policies and productivity, retention, job satisfaction, and recruitment. National research indicates that no business can ignore this imperative.

  • 66% of women who have access to flexibility in the workplace plan to stay with their employers more than three years, compared with just 19% who don’t.*
  • 83% of millennials will leave one job for another with stronger family-friendly supports.*
  • First-time mothers who use some form of paid leave are 32% less likely to quit their jobs before or after childbirth and are 19% more likely to return to the same employer after leave.*

Now, with a new partnership with the Georgia Chamber of Commerce, we’ve brought to our state a quick and easy way to promote family-friendly practices in workplaces and honor the Georgia employers who embrace them. The Best Place for Working Parents ® Georgia is a designation achieved through a three-minute online self-assessment on BP4WP’s national site. Employers who make the cut earn a badge of honor to display on their websites, signage, and other collateral—a signal of commitment to employees’ families, their work/life balance, and their health and happiness.
