Virtual Film Screening and Conversation: No Small Matter

Families and caregivers of young children are invited to join GEEARS for a free virtual screening and town hall on Tuesday, May 5th. We’ll be screening No Small Matter, a documentary film on early childhood development and how it impacts children, families, and the wider community.

Immediately following the film, we will host a virtual town hall for Metro-Atlanta families to hear from local leaders on how they are currently working to support young children and families, and ways that parents can continue their own advocacy and care for young children – even through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tuesday, May 5, 2020
10:00AM – 12:00PM EST

Participants will receive viewing link via e-mail.

More about the film:

No Small Matter is the first feature documentary to explore the most overlooked, underestimated, and powerful force for good in America today: early childhood education. Through poignant stories and surprising humor, the film lays out the overwhelming evidence for the importance of the first five years, and reveals how our failure to act on that evidence has resulted in an everyday crisis for American families, and a slow-motion catastrophe for the country.
