Author Talk + Virtual Book Club featuring Brian Goldstone’s “There is No Place for Us”
Event Date : Tuesday, October 21, 2025 @ 4:30 - 6:00 PM
Approximately 25,000 Georgia children under the age of six are currently homeless and their numbers are only growing. That’s why GEEARS is gratified by the publication of Brian Goldstone’s There is No Place for Us: Working and Homeless in America. A sensitive profile of five diverse Atlanta families struggling with housing instability, the book has been receiving national attention and critical praise.
To explore the complexity of this issue, GEEARS is co-hosting (with The Drake House, HouseATL, and others) an author talk featuring Goldstone and moderator Crystal Edmonson of the Atlanta Business Chronicle. The event will also feature books for sale, display booths for related organizations, and more. Space is limited, so be sure to register today!
In addition, we encourage you to join the virtual book club led by GEEARS’ Board Chair, Stephanie Blank.
Tuesday, October 21st 4:30 – 6:00 pm
