Georgia Congressional District #8

Georgia is often touted as the best state to do business. How would you ensure that it is also the best place to raise young children?
“We need to ensure healthcare, and education is free to all of the Georgia’s children. When our children are healthy and educated, they are more productive and will contribute more in economic value then how we do things now… I want to connect our rural children with a more robust digital and transportation infrastructure. We need high speed internet in areas where GA is informationally dark, yes they still exist in 2026. One of the biggest things I want to bring to GA is the Georgia Intra-State Train (GIT) to connect our rural children access to larger cities for access to museums, universities, job and internship opportunities, and access to others around the state. I would also create a youth congressional council to ensure I am listening to student needs as they change. We would also need more investment in youth programs, youth mental health programs, youth gun violence deterrence program, expanded school counseling services, etc, this could be done under expanding Medicaid or it becoming universal. Personally, I would like to teach financial literacy, physical health specifically nutrition, climate change, green energy, etc to our school curriculum to update children on the challenges they will face in their future. I would also learn to love more on how GEEARS sees making GA a better place to rear children! Thank you!”
