Georgia is often touted as the best state to do business. How would you ensure that it is also the best place to raise young children?

“To ensure Georgia is the best place to raise young children, I continue to focus on several key areas:

1. Education: We fully fund for public schools, support for early childhood education programs, and initiatives to reduce class sizes. Ensuring that schools have access to modern resources and technologies can also enhance the quality of education.
2. Healthcare: I promote policies that provide affordable and comprehensive healthcare coverage for families, including preventive care, vaccinations, and mental health services for children.
3. Safety: As the Senate Chairman of Public Safety, I work on enhancing community safety by supporting effective policing practices, funding for community outreach programs, and initiatives that address crime prevention and domestic violence.
4. Family Support: I support programs that offer financial assistance to families, such as child care subsidies and paid family leave. Additionally, ensure there are ample affordable and high-quality childcare options.
5. Economic Opportunities: I foster economic growth by supporting job creation which can provide families with better economic stability and access to resources.
6. Community Resources: I support local community centers, libraries, and recreational facilities that offer programs and activities for children and families.
7. Parental Support: I promote programs that provide parenting resources, education, and support networks for new and expectant parents.

By focusing on these areas, I proactively help create a supportive, healthy, and enriching environment for raising children.” (2024 Response)
