Georgia is often touted as the best state to do business. How would you ensure that it is also the best place to raise young children?

"As a mother who has teenagers (who I consider to be young children), this question is not just about policy, but about life.

The best place to raise young children is a place that prioritizes access to health, good education, good paying jobs, safe communities and affordable housing.

Healthcare:
- Every GA child should be covered and be able to get the care they need, especially preventative care, at little to no cost.
- Healthy parents are better able to take care of their families. We must expand Medicaid, close the coverage gap, and ensure that healthcare is accessible to all in our State.

Education:
- Include poverty in our QBE formula so that we can have more equitable investment in public schools
- Feed kids. If attending school is compulsory, then we should be feeding kids without charging them money. I believe we need free breakfast and lunch for all GA students. Fed kids are better able to focus on learning.
- Support our educators

Good Paying Jobs:
- Raise the GA minimum wage to a livable wage
- Support paid leave policies
- Support affordable child care policies

Safe Communities:
- Repeal guns everywhere for everyone policies
- Support local government and empower them to use innovative and data driven solutions for reducing crime

Affordable Housing:
- Empower local government to prevent major rent hikes
- Disincentivize investor groups from buying up all the housing stock and blocking Georgia families from home ownership
- Application fee reforms"
