Georgia is often touted as the best state to do business. How would you ensure that it is also the best place to raise young children?

“To ensure Georgia is the best place to raise young children, I would focus on creating a holistic, supportive environment that addresses the key challenges families face.

First, I would advocate for robust investments in early childhood education. Quality preschool programs are essential for preparing our children for success in school and beyond. By expanding access to affordable, high-quality early education, we can give every child in Georgia a strong start.

Second, I would work to improve healthcare access for families, ensuring that every child has access to regular check-ups, vaccinations, and mental health services. This includes supporting policies that lower healthcare costs and increase the availability of pediatric care, particularly in rural areas.

Third, I would push for family-friendly economic policies. This includes supporting paid family leave, affordable childcare, and fair wages so parents can provide for their families without sacrificing time with their children. Families should not have to choose between financial security and quality time with their kids.

Finally, I would work to create safe, healthy communities. This means investing in safe public spaces, like parks and recreation centers, and ensuring that our neighborhoods are free from violence and environmental hazards.

By focusing on these areas—education, healthcare, economic security, and safe communities—I believe we can make Georgia a place where every child can thrive, and every family can feel secure in raising their children.”
