GEEARS: Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students is a research and advocacy organization leading a movement toward a Georgia in which all children, ages zero to five, have access to high–quality, affordable early education, resources for healthy development, and other supports that help families thrive at work and home.
Building on our 2024 candidate questionnaire, GEEARS is expanding this effort for the 2026 election by inviting all candidates for the Georgia House, Georgia Senate, and U.S. House of Representatives to respond to the following question:
Georgia is often touted as the best state to do business. How would you ensure that it is also the best place to raise young children?
In 2024, more than 70 candidates submitted responses.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, GEEARS does not endorse or oppose candidates for public office. Our mission is to educate the public and candidates about the issues affecting Georgia’s youngest children and their families.
Candidate responses will be published exactly as submitted and will not be edited for content, clarity, spelling, punctuation, or grammar.
Have questions? If you are a candidate in a Georgia State Senate, State House, or U.S. House race and would like to participate, please reach out to Jessica Woltjen at jwoltjen@geears.org.
