Georgia is often touted as the best state to do business. How would you ensure that it is also the best place to raise young children?
“We must also invest in strong public schools, recruit and retain excellent teachers, expand early childhood education, and ensure every child has access to healthcare, nutritious meals, safe schools, and mental health support.
As a veteran who served our country for 30 years, I understand the importance of preparation, leadership, and investing in the next generation. We owe our children the same commitment to service and opportunity that we have given to our communities and our nation.
Supporting children also means supporting their families. We must address the rising cost of childcare and housing while creating pathways to good-paying jobs that allow families to build financial stability.
Being the best state for business is an accomplishment, but our success should also be measured by whether families can afford to live here, children can thrive here, and young people can build their futures here.
Georgia should be the best place to do business, raise a child, and build a family.”
